In Mexico, Tortas are a popular type of sandwich served on long crusty rolls called bolillos, but large, crusty French rolls work well. These are a spicy, Spanish version of burgers.


Ingredients
Preparation
  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Season with freshly ground Sea Salt and Black Pepper.
  2. Form into 4 patties, approximately the same size as buns.
  3. Grill patties over medium-high heat, browning both sides. With an instant-read thermometer, ensure a Food Safe internal temperature of 160° F (71° C).
  4. Place patties on bottom halves of rolls. Top each with tomato slices, 14 cup Guacamole and lettuce, if desired. Place top halves of rolls and serve.
